My intention was to go to Hullett Marsh to see what water birds had made it north. And as I turned off 19 to go up Bornholm Road to Hullett, I was only in one farm and the field was covered with Swans. I did go to Hullett but the waters were still covered with ice. So I got real lucky today. The Swans were just resting in the water, along with a few Canada Geese and a few ducks. All very peaceful with no body chasing anyone away.
