Quadra Island

Quadra Island is one of the many island between Vancouver Island and the main land. My reason for going here is my dear daughter Julie has a friend who lives here with her husband. Her name is Val. Julie and Val and a couple other girls shared an apartment In North Bay when they were at Nipissing University. So I was with the group many times when they were at Nipissing. Julie set up our meeting and it was wonderful to see her again. It being a work day Val suggested I visit her favourite spots on the Island till she was done her work. Perfect. First was a 45 minute steep climb up to the top of the island.

looking south from the top we see the town Campbell River and the ferry comes from here.

What looks like islands is the other favourite place where Val unwinds.

on her spot the beach is rocky and full of fallen trees of all sizes. The wood is all above high tide. There area is all a park.
