A Fisherman on the St Jacobs Mill Race Trail

It’s a holiday and sunny so out for a walk I go. And so were a lot of others today enjoying the trail. Today the walk was really about the fisherman. I seen it here before and today I captured it catching a little dinner. I did mean little as you will see but I caught the event.

Gone!

A mom with her kids. I assumed that she was a mom because she had a yellow bill and all the rest didn’t. In checking young mallards are all the same before they mature.

Also found butterflies today.

This Monarch looked like it had a hard flight here and I think she was a female because a male has a black bar on each wing close to the body. She was checking out the milkweeds and took a break on a big leaf.

This is the dam on the Conestoga River that sends water into the Mill Raceway.
