I have wanted to go to the Barron Canyon for a while and today is the day I went. It is again a long logging road to get there but worth the visit. First a few images of the road in.

Here is the Barron Canyon. It is just a huge crack in the Canadian shield. The sides a straight up or straight down depending where you are. A few hundred feet. Oh no guard rails so you can jump if you are inclined.

The rest of the pictures are from Grand Lake which is the home of Achray Campground. Things really changed since starting of my trip. Started off with short sleeves shirt and when I hit Thunder Bay it was my winter shirt with my undershirt and my light winter jacket. The sun didn’t come up until almost 8 am in Thunder Bay, I lost 1/2 an hour. Then on my last camping at Achray Campground I had to have supper done and cleaned up by 6 or I would be in the dark. Fall comes slowly but it speeds up every day. I drove through a lot of Ontario and for spectacular fall colour I don’t think there is a place that beats Algonquin.
